"The end of summer is not the end of something that was beautiful. There is no melancholy in my works. It is the beginning of something new and good. I moved to Spain at the end of 2024 after turbulences in my private life. Beginning of autumn in Andalusia feels for me symbolic, bringing a lot of energy, love and hope. The empty beach is an open space for a new start."

Bartosz Kolata was born in 1979 in Torun, Poland. In 2006, he completed his studies in art conservation and restoration at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun with a Master of Arts degree. In the year 2024 he moved from Torun to Salobrena, Spain, where he now lives and works.
